Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that all components meet the required specifications and standards.
Duties:

Combine stiles and rails according to shop drawings and build sheets to create perfectly squared (within established tolerances) raw doors ready for glass and hardware install

Assist in the fabrication of brake metal/sheet metal

Manage a personal daily schedule, striving to hit completion goals set by Production Manager and Door Shop Lead

Maintain a clean and orderly workspace

Utilize tools, equipment, and material in a safe and proper manner

Assist with material handling including loading and unloading trucks, pulling stock for production, and general shop/warehouse organization

Assist in other general shop fabrication and warehousing duties as assigned by a supervisor

Occasionally assist with field service or installation of doors and frames as needed
Knowledge and Skills

Basic skill in utilizing common hand tools and power tools such as drill/driver, impact driver, mitre saw, palm router, tape measure, speed square, spring punch, metal files

Capable of performing basic math functions related to reading a tape measure and converting fractions

Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
