Job Description
Medical Services Mid-Level Psychiatric Practitioner- This position works as part of a medical services team providing psychiatric care to agency patients. Primary duties include providing psychiatric evaluations, medication checks and other psychiatric services under the direction of the medical director and established protocols.
Applicants must have a master’s degree in nursing or a related field of study and be licensed or immediately eligible for licensure in Kansas as a mid-level practitioner (such as a PA or PMHNP).
Starting wage is: $115,000/ year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · A current mid-level practitioner professional psychiatric license valid in the state of Kansas. · Dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and compliance with agency’s liability carrier’s require-ments may be required depending on job assignment · Communicate positively and effectively with others · Basic proficiency in math · Effective utilization of basic office technology
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide timely, effective outpatient psychiatric services to patients under the direction of the Medical Director and following the established protocols.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
1. Maintain a minimum of 1000 hours of direct time service annually.
2. Provide professional psychiatric evaluations, medication checks, and other appropriate
psychiatric office services as directed by the medical director.
3. Provide professional clinical direction to and collaboration with the nurses and clerical
staff.
4. Provide timely and accurate clinical documentation for all services, completing and signing
notes within prescribed timelines (9:00 AM the day after a service for med management
services and by the end of the 5th business day after the service for psych evals).
5. Provision of services should be collaborative between provider and client, and documenta-
tion should be both concurrent and collaborative whenever possible.
6. Provision of services within the CCBHC model of care meets or exceeds KPI (key perfor-
mance indicator) performance standards as defined in CCBHC KPI addendum.
7. Cooperate and demonstrate partnership with all internal departments and provide ser-
vices/documentation for external customers and agencies.
8. Maintain positive, cooperative professional relationships with all levels of staff in the medi-
cal services department and across the agency.
9. Maintain effective professional relationships with all patients.
10. Exhibit and promote decisions and behavior consistent with the Center’s established
Vision, Mission, and Values.
