Job Description
Operating self-propelled equipment such as tractor-trailer combination in the process of reaping, harvesting, threshing, swathing or winnowing grain and forage crops such as wheat, soybeans, milo, corn; Align with harvesting machine in the field and maintain appropriate ground speed to load crops during harvesting; Transport harvested crops to elevators, silos, or other storage areas; Load manure into tractor-trailer and drive to field to be unloaded and applied as fertilizer; Perform manual or mechanical adjustments as well as safety inspections to trucks and trailers; Maintain and repair equipment and tools; Drive machinery from one field to another. Approximate staggered entry: 3 workers to begin Feb 1 and 2 workers to begin June 1.
Housing is provided. Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence is also offered. Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers, from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-up points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and back at the end of each work day.
