Job Description

Volt is immediately hiring for PCB Designer in Wichita, KS

As a PCB Designer you will be responsible for:
  • Design layout of printed circuit board files from electrical schematic information, including coordination of mechanical and electrical requirements to meet product definition Library creation and maintenance of components and associated symbology.
  • Complete documentation of the design in the required formats Complete engineering activities related to the procurement, build, and troubleshooting of circuit board designs and their interfaces
  • Support production facilities in the manufacture and testing of products.
  • Complete component package evaluation and qualification including research, selection, testing, and documentation
  • Develop PCB Layout standards, practices, and guidelines in accordance with internal requirements, industry standards, and external manufacturability specifications
  • Work with board creation, manufacturing assembly, and component suppliers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed
  • Complete Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) of new and existing designs
  • Create and maintain Bill of Materials.
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • 5 years relevant experience in PCB Design & layout.
  • Technical degree in electronics or electrical related background.
  • PCB layout software experience (PADS preferred)

Location: Wichita, KS

Annual Salary Range: $75K to $95K

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
