SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing the flow of materials and inventory within the organization. This role involves unpacking and verifying incoming shipments, preparing shipping labels for various carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx), and accurately pulling and kitting work orders. The clerk ensures proper packaging, labeling, and bin placement of hardware, conducts weekly cycle counts, and participates in annual inventory audits. Additional duties include delivering items to departments, supporting crib operations, assisting the lead with administrative tasks such as creating ASNs and data entry in Infor, and maintaining organized records of purchase orders. Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Unpackage and count incoming shipments and prepare receiving documents making sure that purchase orders match the receivables
- Prepare shipping labels; USPS, UPS, FEDEX
- Pull and kit various work orders, ensuring accuracy in part numbers, lot numbers and quantities pulled
- Package or repackage hardware for stock, making sure to label and placing place items in proper bin location
- Weekly cycle counts on inventory and ensure stocked items are placed in proper bin location; participation required in annual inventory
- Deliver items work orders to various departments as needed
- Support employees with crib needs when needed
- Assist Lead in various tasks as required; ie: creating ASN’s, closing works orders, receiving items in Infor, clerical data entry, etc
- Assists in maintaining files of purchase orders in receiving crib
- Cross train to perform other departmental functions
- Maintain clean and orderly work area
