Job Description
Title: Customer Service Representative
Supervisor:
Working Hours: Part time and/or full time
JOB SUMMARY:
To support sales goals of Farmers as communicated from the Agent to meet short and long-term goals for agency growth. This will include, but is not limited to; new business, cross-selling opportunities, customer service retention, and profit goals.
Responsibilities regularly performed:
- Answering phone in a courteous manner
- Aids in preparing annual review appointments
- Cross-selling products through pivoting
- Continual follow up on X dates (renewal dates) to set new prospect appointments
- Utilizing APEX system continually to update policy and database information
- Prepare thank you/welcome mailers for new households
- Review cancellations and renewals on a weekly basis
- Maintaining files on all new business accounts
Skills and Qualifications:
Professional demeanor (in person and over the phone)
Customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written skills
Great Time management and prioritizing skills
Must be dependable and take initiative
Reliability
Self-Driven
Intermediate computer skills
Social media savvy a PLUS
Special training/licensing:
Obtain Property & Casualty License and Life & Health License
