Job Description
Position Responsibilities
- Stage and inventory waste containers throughout the facility
- Ensure the integrity of waste containers
- Inspect waste containers for proper labeling and regulatory compliance
- Move full waste containers or those that have reached the regulatory time limit
- Manage waste in centralized storage area by segregating by waste type, emptying containers into a roll-off, and compacting waste in roll-off
- Record container into computer tracking system
- Participate in spill response
- Respond to trouble calls
- Run specified route driving a Forklift, APV, Tug, or other industrial truck
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Perform decontamination activities, such as cleaning the respirator
- Ensure proper functioning of, clean, and maintain PPE
- Comply with safety policies and procedures
- Operate forklift safely and effectively
- Operate power tools, lifts, and other equipment safely
- Assist with non-hazardous waste as needed
- Provide additional support as needed
