Job Description

Perform the following primary duties on a farm for a farmer like: assist with the installation and repair of agricultural irrigation systems on farms. Assist with the installation and repair of feedlot/dairy, fresh water and wastewater drainage systems including pumps, discharge piping, underground piping and valving on farms. Effectively operate support equipment such as backhoes, loaders, pump rigs, cranes, trucks on farms. Secondary tasks performed on the farm for the farmer include: maintain equipment and tools, maintain inventory, complete daily work reports/data sheets, read and understand instructions/maps of worksites. Package and load supplies, equipment and material onto semi and drive to the job site. Ensure safety of the crew, materials and equipment, compile vehicle inspection reports and perform regular maintenance and repairs on equipment and tools. Must be able to communicate with crew efficiently and effectively. Employer requires drug screening post hire at employer's expense due to liability of driving heavy equipment and trucks on public roads. Failure to pass drug screening will result in termination of employment. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Frequent stooping. OT/holiday is not mandatory. Repetitive movements. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of (3) months experience required. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Overtime (time and a half) and per diem is offered. Housing is provided.  Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence is also offered.  Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers, from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-up points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and back at the end of each work day.
