Job Description

We farm 1500 acres of triticale, corn, and alfalfa. Employees will need to operate farm equipment to assist with all aspects of raising these crops including swathing, baling, and harvesting forages. Equipment includes but not limited to 8 series John Deere tractors, Hesston 2190 baler, Staheli West steamer, and other equipment related to the harvest of alfalfa hay and other similar farming practices. Employees will need to assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems. Haul harvested crops to storage, Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

Family housing not available. Housing will be clean & meet applicable Fed, State &local housing standards. Workers must maintain neat & clean housing. Repair cost of damage, other than normal wear and tear will be deducted from the earnings with prior employee written consent. Housing/utilities are provided at no cost to workers who are unable to return to place of residence the same day. If both male & female workers are hired: separate toilet, bathing and sleeping rooms will be provided.

Employer is not a H-2ALC. Employees will be provided with an employer owned vehicle to drive to and from work and to town for errands at least once per week. Daily transportation schedule will coincide with the work schedule outlined on this application, or as agreed upon between employer and employee based on seasonal demands and/or workload. A different vehicle(s) may be provided which meets all DOT requirements if the following is no longer available. The vehicle provided will be a 2011 Ford
