Job Description
Duties
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Operate imaging equipment while adhering to established protocols.
- Maintain safety techniques during procedures to ensure proper imaging and patient safety.
- Properly adjusts machine and controls to set exposure time and distance, according to specification of examination.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the images are of diagnostic quality for interpreting purposes.
- Keep detailed records of procedures performed, including patient history and imaging results.
- Assist in the training of new staff in the use of medical imaging equipment and techniques.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.
- Take accurate patient vitals and medical history.
- Perform additional clerical, reporting, and data entry.
- Can proficiently work within the EMR and x-ray imaging software to provide accuracy in reporting and documentation.
- Assist in additional duties for patient care
- Perform Medical Assistant duties
