Job Description
Accounting Manager Position Summary
The Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of Conco’s Accounting function. This position provides leadership and direction to the accounting team, ensures accurate financial reporting, and supports the Controller in maintaining the integrity of all financial data and processes.
Accounting Manager Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily accounting activities to maintain the Company’s general ledger, and ensure accurate, timely recording of financial transactions
- Lead, supervise, and review the work of the accounting staff, including, but not limited to, check runs, accounts receivable and billing, fixed assets, accounts payable, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses
- Maintain organized and detailed records to document all financial transactions
- Review general ledger accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Supports external auditor processes to facilitate timely and successful audits
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of sales tax, use tax, and 1099 filings
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
- Prepare ad hoc reports to support the Controller and senior leadership team
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Accounting Manager Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance
- Strong management and supervisory skills with the ability to develop and mentor staff
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with Vista and Procore preferred
- Proven ability to identify process improvements and implement solutions

Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 15 pounds occasionally; may at times lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Mostly sedentary with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer within an office environment. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, view a PC monitor, talk and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, or kneel.
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed indoors Monday through Friday with a consistent schedule; but may work some unusual hours as needed.
