Job Description
Job Summary: Primary responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of our pickleball courts in a lively restaurant and entertainment setting. Responsible for marketing, guest relations and programming games and tournaments along with creating a fun, inclusive experience for players and diners in the pickleball facilities. This role blends sport, social engagement, and hospitality in a high-energy environment. All primary duties require the exercise of discretion and independent judgment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for guest relations in pickleball facilities
- Greet players and guests with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Educate newcomers on pickleball rules and equipment usage
- Responsible for marketing pickleball offerings
- Create a fun, inviting court atmosphere that complements the restaurant vibe
- Develop and organize leagues, casual round-robins, and corporate events
- Collaborate with marketing personnel for promotional events and special tournaments
- Establish and manage pickleball booking systems, player waitlists, and court rotations
- Maintain pickleball courts, nets, and equipment in excellent condition
- Ensure court and surrounding areas are clean, safe, and guest-ready
- Monitor and respond to court activity to prevent misuse or conflict
- Work closely with restaurant/bar staff to synchronize guest service flow
- Coordinate food & drink service near courts during events
Experience and Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older and have the ability to obtain and retain a KRGC Gaming License
- Experience in pickleball or outdoor activities (playing, coaching, or organizing)
- Background in hospitality, events, or recreation management preferred
- Friendly, energetic demeanor with top-tier people first customer service skills
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
