Web Copywriter 

We're seeking a skilled and imaginative Web Copywriter for a 6-month contract opportunity with potential for permanent placement. This role is ideal for a creative professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a passion for crafting compelling digital content. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, merchandising, design, and product management to produce engaging copy that aligns with brand voice and drives customer engagement across various digital platforms.

 

The Basics
  • Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension or conversion to full-time)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Location: Must be physically located in or near Overland Park, KS, Atlanta, GA or Denver, CO to be able to be onsite

 

Key Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to write and edit original, engaging content for websites, emails, landing pages, and promotional materials.
  • Comfortable working with designers, product managers, and marketing teams to develop cohesive and creative online solutions.
  • Ability to tailor copy to meet tone, style, and brand guidelines while enhancing user experience and driving conversions.
  • Experience writing product copy and promotional content for retail companies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with various stakeholders
  • Comfortable participating in creative brainstorming sessions
  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing and partner website content is a plus

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating fresh, innovative and compelling copy across a variety of Web platforms
  • Work directly with web marketing, web merchandising, visual designers, product managers and other creative team members. 
  • Edit, write and enhance copy to meet unique tone, style and brand guidelines, with projects appearing on owned websites, partner websites, sales promotions, affiliate programs, emails, landing pages, and user experience areas.
  • Write new product copy and additional site content as needed
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with different business owners
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to develop competitive online solutions
  • Create and edit copy that supports sales, customer retention, and a premium user experience 
  • Contribute to strategic and creative brainstorming sessions 
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by business management

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
