Job Description
The Outside Sales Representative plays a key role in supporting the Business Development Manager by driving new sales opportunities, programs, and customer relationships. This position focuses on developing sales strategies, monitoring market trends, and following up on requests for quotes to maximize business growth. You’ll represent Vermillion at customer sites, trade shows, and industry events, promoting our products and capabilities while building strong partnerships. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with internal teams, participate in quarterly sales meetings, and contribute to the company’s long-term vision and strategic goals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a balance of strategy, relationship-building, and hands-on sales execution.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor all major programs for Company’s products and/or services
- Develop marketing strategies and goals to increase sales
- Follow up on all Requests for Quote (RFQ) for current and potential customers
- Travel to various business locations and trade shows with Company’s Business Development Manager to make sales calls and promote business
- Actively participate in the Company’s quarterly sales meetings
- Maintain favorable working relationships with internal and external customers
- Support the Company’s vision, direction, and strategic goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
