Job Description

The Outreach Specialist will build and strengthen relationships in our service delivery area. This person will raise awareness of our mission and educate the community about our services and the needs of the people we serve.

This person will also work alongside consumers. Using a person-centered approach and active listening to individualized needs, the Specialist will aim to empower people with disabilities to address barriers and gain independent life skills, and assist them in locating and accessing various resources.

High School Diploma or GED required and two years’ relevant work experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass background checks. Salary: Starts at $17.00, depending on related experience.

Office hours will be determined by activities but will most generally be between 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday – Friday. There will be times when it is necessary to work outside regular office hours, weekend days, or longer than an 8-hour day.

Travel within North Central Kansas is likely. Employees must maintain current auto insurance. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for work-related travel.
