Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Bidding & Estimating:
- Analyze and properly vet all bid opportunities to ensure viability.
- Oversee the creation of highly accurate and detailed cost estimates for complex civil construction projects.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks to gain a full understanding of the job scope.
- Correctly read and interpret drawings, specifications, and addendums.
- Review historical production rates, material pricing, and equipment utilization to inform bids.
- Develop and present compelling bid proposals to customers and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with Project Managers and Field Operations to ensure a smooth project handoff.
- Project Leadership & Execution:
- Provide expert leadership and management for all phases of assigned projects.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Direct and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and challenges.
- Maintain exceptional communication with clients, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Strategic Development:
- Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans and business development initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate potential project opportunities and market trends.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and regulatory agencies to encourage growth and repeat business.
