Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Leadership:
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Provide guidance and direction to crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Interpret project plans and specifications, ensuring accurate implementation.
- Proactively identify and resolve on-site issues, maintaining efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate and detailed project records, including daily logs, time sheets, and material usage reports including utilizing software programs to record relevant information.
- Miscellaneous Construction Equipment Operation:
- Safely and efficiently operate a variety of construction equipment, including skid-loaders, track hoes, farm tractors, backhoes, loaders, and other relevant machinery.
- Conduct thorough daily inspections and perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including OSHA guidelines, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Class A CDL Driving:
- Operate Class A CDL vehicles, including duly trucks weighing over 26000 pounds, pulling a gooseneck trailer on public highways and construction job sites.
- Transport diverse construction materials such as, erosion control, seeding materials, and heavy equipment to and from job sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
- Properly secure loads and maintain accurate records of deliveries and inspections.
- Travel Requirements:
- Work primarily on local and statewide projects within Kansas.
- Occasionally travel to projects in surrounding states (up to six states), requiring overnight stays and weekends when necessary.
- Must be willing to travel, and understand that travel is a requirement of the job.
