Job Description

Position Summary:

The Marketing Assistant will assist in the execution of the company's marketing objectives, projects, and research. This position will partner with members of the Marketing Team to support the completion of tasks on-time, within budget, and with high accuracy. In addition, will provide marketing research, help with the production of proposals, aid in the delivery of conference items, and support the implementation of company marketing campaigns. The Marketing Assistant will help develop and update the company's proposal database. This position will create, maintain, proofread, and enter data into marketing databases and enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer service relationship management (CRM) software to confirm accuracy in accordance with company procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responds to regularly occurring requests for information and communicates in a positive and effective manner with staff. 
  • Prepares outgoing USPS, FedEx, and/or UPS mail/packages. 
  • QAQCs, proofreads, and edits marketing content for consistency and error-free messaging.
  • Maintains marketing calendars and schedules as assigned.
  • Tackles expense reports and invoices for select department expenses. 
  • Conducts market research to identify trends and proposes new ideas to enhance internal and external engagement.
  • Gathers and analyzes data to assist in the creation of marketing plans and strategies.
  • Maintains marketing databases and enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software, ensuring timely, complete, and accurate data.
  • Prepares reports as requested and appropriate.
  • Assists in organizing and coordinating events, as needed.
  • Inventory management – assists in maintaining marketing material and promotional items inventory.
  • Assembles proposals, presentations, demonstrations, and booklets as needed.
  • Organizes and manages workload based on priority. 
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.

Special Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently. 
  • Demonstrate written and oral communication skills. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and computer skills. 
  • Knowledge and ability to operate office equipment. 
  • Ability to work well independently, work with all levels of management, prioritize tasks, resolve problems, and follow through. 
  • Self-starting and highly motivated. 
  • Organized and structured management of work, responsibilities, and reporting. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Commitment to work at a fast pace with a sense of urgency. 
  • Interest in advancement and development of skills. 
  • Positive attitude toward projects and clients.

 Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree preferred or demonstrated equivalency 2 years’ experience within the AEC industry in lieu of degree.
  • Associate’s degree in marketing, business or another related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in A/E/C industry preferred.
