About This Role
Kansas State University's Department of Entomology seeks a motivated Research Technician to support and assist in the laboratory and help with running field traps and repellant assays.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Follow established laboratory protocols.
- Help prepare samples for analysis or testing.
- Help prepare and maintain research equipment or facilities.
- Clean, calibrate, and store laboratory or field equipment properly.
- Support researchers with day-to-day tasks as needed, including cleaning work areas and organizing materials.
- Assist in setting up research stations.
- Assist in carrying out field and lab based special repellent assays.
- Assist in Collecting and compiling data.
- Accurately record observations and measurements.
- Sharing information with professor and other working in the lab.
- Communicate with other employees working in the lab.
- Adhere to safety procedures.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSc in Entomology, Plant Sciences, Ecology or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work with insect specimens.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to follow safety guidelines.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
