Job Description
Join our Government Finance team as a Post-Funding Associate! This position is great for someone just beginning their government finance or banking career and it’s a good opportunity to help make a different in communities across the country. Our Government Finance department and non-profit lending offers a vital service to cities, counties, schools, fire districts, and other municipal entities by helping them secure the financing necessary to grow and serve their community. As a Government Finance Post-Funding Associate, you will be communicating with internal employees, as well as bank customers via email and phone, and working as a team to complete daily tasks. Duties include a combination of gathering information and research related to loan issues; posting loan payments; quoting payoffs; tracking titles, insurance and missing originals; balancing internal deposit and general ledger accounts; and maintaining the participations portfolio. Attention to detail is vital for this position.
Those who enjoy using their previous knowledge and experience to solve problems and make decisions, and who gain satisfaction from completing a task on-time and without errors, will thrive in this position. We’re looking for someone who will learn the procedures and best practices for this position and then use facts, data and research to complete their tasks. Curiosity and the drive to learn in order to completely understand the connections are desirable traits. This is a full-time position at our Kansas Farm Bureau offices in Manhattan, Monday through Friday, with wages starting at $16 to $18 per hour. Employee benefits include 401k, health, dental and vision insurance and paid time off.
