You will be a Senior Principal in our Build Capability in the Americas, working part of a network how we bring this to life with our customers in the Missouri Valley market. You will drive sales and successfully delivery of outcomes for clients across the product lifecycle as we as we build and modernize digital products, accelerate with on-demand expertise with our clients at any scale, and optimize their technology platforms and organizations.

What You'll Do

This role executes region or country-wide Capability GTM strategy with market needs, acting as a subject matter expert and thought leader collaborating with industry partners to identify and win new customer opportunities. This individual is a leader on a go-to-market team, contributes to delivery in delivery leadership roles in customer engagements, and collaborates with leadership to achieve revenue targets and address capability challenges. A requirement of this role is to live within the Missouri Valley market.

Customer Delivery
  • Leads in delivery with our customers in billable roles as Solution Architect, Delivery Solution Lead and/or in SME roles within Market's portfolio.
  • Takes on strategic roles with customers as a subject matter expert, or leads teams in outcome based client delivery.
  • Engages as a leader within a discipline within the Build Capability, such as Software Engineering, Solution Ownership, Quality Engineering, Intelligence Engineering, Platform Engineering.
Business Development & Sales
  • Partners with Industry aligned client partners and sales executives to identify and pursue potential opportunities related to technology-led outcomes.
  • Individually acts as a Solution Lead or SME in pursuit process, identifying appropriate SME from broader capability team as needed.
  • Leads or supports workshops and whiteboarding solutioning activities with clients as part of sales cycles.
  • Participates in multi-capability solutioning and client outcome based selling motions with GTM team, at the direction of the GTM lead.
Go to Market Support
  • Works to proactively ignite awareness and generate demand for Capability and related client outcomes in the market, working closely with GTM leadership to execute GTM strategy.
  • Researches client portfolio needs and adjusts focus to topics of resonance. Focuses on building technical client relationships at target and active client portfolio.
  • Supports Slalom-led thought leadership events, in context of Capability and related Client Outcomes, which can include speaking and publishing opportunities.
People Development
  • Leads architects and engineers through reporting relationships to guide them in their careers and skill development.
  • Acts as mentor to other practitioners in area of Capability working to serve Market's portfolio.
  • Participates in performance management via providing Feedback on Capability team members assigned to Market's pursuits and delivery.
Financial Management
  • Works with GTM leader and broader Capability leadership to contribute to Capability specific growth and cost projections.
  • Works to achieve forecast against revenue targets
  • Works proactively with Market and Regional or Americas Capability leadership to identify when a Capability is unhealthy at Market level to adjust strategy.

You bring expertise in these areas:
  • Product Engineering - Brings extensive experience working with product engineering organizations in either industry or professional services, and leading cross-discipline teams delivering with Agile methodologies with depth in multiple disciplines such as Agile / Product Ownership, Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, DevOps, Machine Learning and Experience Design.
  • Accelerated Engineering with AI - Understands how AI is changing the software development industry with perspectives on how roles are changing, how teams can work and move faster, and how to evolve and mature a technology organization leveraging new developments in Generative AI.
  • Enhance and Operate - Extends teams into production with in modern operations, using techniques such as Site Reliability Engineering, to enhance and operate the digital product and solutions that teams build in modern ways.
  • Team-Based Delivery at Scale - Leverages experience delivering engineering projects using scale teaming models and partners, including experience with Nearshore teams and Offshore teams.
  • Product Mindset - Has a product mindset with experience and approaches to product strategy, ability to work with customers and teams around the outcome they are trying to achieve and shaping product and technology roadmaps.
  • Working with Partners - Works with AWS, Microsoft, Google and other top partners in a sales or delivery motion. Understanding of how to co-sell, and or work with professional services teams.
  • Inspirational Leadership - Demonstrates forward looking strategic and critical thinking, connection to market's needs
  • Proactive GTM Mentality - Builds relationships and opportunities to proactively build pipeline; does not wait for sales/client partners to create leads
  • Grow Slalom Mindset- Acts as an external speaker at events. Speaks to customer technology leaders as a peer with credibility and confidence.
  • Collaboration- Has strong ability to collaborate across different teams and organization

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $140,000 to $217,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
