Job Description:
- Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Inspect electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers.
- Install & maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty wiring.
- Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems.
- Use hand and power tools.
- Adhere to state and local building regulations.
- Complete work orders on time.
- Create records of materials used.
- Set up and test computer systems by running cables and connecting computer jacks and plugs.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting,
climbing, etc.
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and
carrying. Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, around electrical power lines, outside and
inside. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Frequent travel.
Hours:
- Hours range between 7-5:30, typically 4 day workweek.
