Job Description
Title: Shipping
Classification: Hourly
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY:
Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom. Package and ship boilers and service parts. Keep shipping area organized and quantities on hand updated.
FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED:
- Receive and stock incoming freight
- Package and ship service parts
- Operate forklifts and overhead hoists
- Must be able to complete all task in said department by the standard time allowed
- Handle supporting paperwork for these activities
- Follow all safety requirements
- Perform other related duties as required
- Some data entry into computer systems
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must be capable of following verbal and/or written instructions
- Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance
- Must be capable of large amounts of walking
- Able to bend, stoop and squat
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Needs good mathematical skills
- Must be able to read and understand a tape measure
- Ability to organize and prioritize work functions to be completed
