An Assistant Director of Nursing/ ADON (RN) supervises LPN's, CNA's, and CMA's and is responsible for ensuring that the quality assessment and assurance program is in compliance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the Community. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, have strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a great group of CNAs, CMAs and LPNs, and have the passion to advance the value that the resident comes first. They value the Community as the residents’ home and models person-centered care. They are familiar with the State surveying process and are able to drive quality care to residents.
Candidates for this position must be a Registered Nurse (RN) and will hold some additional duties supporting the Director of Nursing, Case Managers, assisting with staffing/scheduling needs, and providing clinical oversight for the LTC/AL area of our campus.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and/or TRAINING:
- Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
- Must possess a current active license to practice as an RN in this state.
- Previous experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long term care community or other related health care facility and geriatric nursing experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
