Position Description:
- Accountable for Teams of CCI producing defect-free products, on-time while maintaining safe and efficient use of resources.
- Establish and maintain standard work to meet quality expectations and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Continuously develop and grow team members to support a culture of continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
- Goal setting to improve Quality, Cost, Safety, and Delivery to be approved by the superior.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the daily availability and readiness of all resources, including people, machines, and materials.
- Make daily staffing adjustments to balance labor within the teams to meet customer demand and KOSU goals.
- Assure compliance with company programs, procedures, and requirements.
- Adhere to disciplinary procedures using the team's MFTTM; set goals monthly or as needed for cross-training team members using JBSs.
- Ensure team leaders are taking immediate action to correct shortfalls in regards to their customers’ expectations of quality and timeliness.
- Review VMB twice daily to ensure team leaders are taking immediate action to correct shortfalls in regards to their First Pass Yield and KOSU Goals.
- Help lead and support continuous improvement activities utilizing the 5-Why Problem Analysis Approach and VMB Newspaper.
- Ensure cleaning schedules and machine PM schedules are being met, as well as scheduling machine repairs with the maintenance team.
- Work with customers and supplies to ensure standard WIP inventory levels are being met.
- Develop personal learning plans and goals for subordinates.
- Conduct monthly safety inspections of areas of the plant; daily Team Leader Meetings; annual performance evaluations; and weekly (or as required) newspaper/action plans reviews with subordinate positions.
- Coordinate subordinate’s work and allow for a 50/50 split of on/off-line process improvement.
