Job Description

Will constantly lift, push and pull waste bags, cans and karts that weigh 75+ pounds as part of their daily routine. Often, these waste bags and cans have no wheels or handles for maneuver ability, and the thrower Must have physical strength to adjust accordingly.

This physically strenuous position involves mounting and dismounting the truck and truck step

(approximate 23 in. ) 400+ time every shift.

Throwers communicate on a regular basis with supervisor and driver. Throwers need to be team

players by taking direction from their driver and supervisors.

Operate packing mechanisms and various levers/handles to activate lifting and loading

mechanisms with your left hand preferably.

Assist driver in safety backing up the truck by directing driver from the ground

Cleans area above carrier and hopper or scheduled basis.

Assist driver in servicing of truck

Courteously interacts with customers, drivers, team and supervisors

Cleans up the area around accidental waste spills or scattered trash

Wears safety vest, gloves, goggles and steel toe boots at all times. Follow safety protocol at all

times.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Work needed hours required to complete job ( may be 45-50 hours per week)

Work in all weather extremes including extreme hot or cold, wet or dry conditions
