Kiewit Power Constructors Co. has a position in Lenexa, KS.
Field Engineer 2 - DUTIES: Identify, assess, and correct areas of improvement regarding the safety and quality of the supervised crews. Lead crews through a planned out work plan to meet schedule and productivity without compromising the company and project standards. Review and utilize contract specifications to procure the right material at the right time. Understand contract language to effectively plan out activities to meet important dates. Coordinate with other disciplines to meet project turnover dates and project milestones. Coordinate with other disciplines on a daily and weekly basis to develop accurate activity schedules. Understand scheduling constraints and critical path methods to efficiently plan out labor and productivity. Assist superintendents on daily site operations and coordinate manpower and scheduling relationships between different scopes. Review ongoing engineering changes to drawings, 3D models, and scope to identify and capture risk to procurement and construction deliverables. Supervise and collaborate with field engineers on site to progress their careers and improve personal leadership skills. Ensure company standards and programs are followed to develop valuable tracking data used in forecasting, estimating, and scheduling. Promote respectful and professional relationships with subcontractors and clients to successfully solve field issues. Travel to unanticipated U.S worksites may be required and may work anywhere in the U.S.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience stated herein to involve: (1) understand electrical, mechanical, and structural systems and drawings; understand one-line and 3-line diagrams to successfully execute lock out tag out procedures; (2) electrical activities and markets such as renewables, power transmission, and power generation. Finally, 1 year of experience stated herein to involve export, transform, and organize data in excel to develop schedules, budget forecasting, and project deliverables; and understand critical path method used in P6 or similar scheduling tools.
