As a Shop Assistant, you’ll be the go-to problem-solver behind the scenes—keeping our tools, trucks, and equipment running smoothly so our field teams can build with confidence. In this hands-on role, you’ll handle everything from diagnosing mechanical issues to performing routine maintenance and safety checks. Your work directly supports the success of our construction projects by making sure everything is in top shape and ready to go. Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair construction equipment, including trucks and small engines.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment remains safe and operational.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
Inspections & Reporting
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and promptly report findings to the Shop Manager.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Collaboration & Prioritization
- Work closely with site supervisors to coordinate and prioritize equipment service needs.
- Assist with equipment mobilization and demobilization at job sites.
Shop Organization & Compliance
- Maintain a clean, organized shop environment, including tools and parts inventory.
- Ensure all maintenance activities follow company policies and safety regulations.
