Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design, create and implement tools and techniques to reduce labor costs, improve turn time and quality for operations process steps. Example: masking, sanding, paint, demask, etc.
- Review current process techniques on long standing products and identify and implement improvements to aids, tooling, and templates to make process more repeatable and consistent.
- Reviewing customer specifications for new products for detailed requirements to set up new processes or establish gaps between current practices and specification requirements.
- Coordinate process optimization in regard to tooling, operational sequencing, throughput, and cost analysis on new/existing packages, and drive cost reduction on materials, labor, and paint
- Perform project management to meet required goals and deadlines.
- Oversee first article qualification to ensure time optimization, pricing evaluation and proper engineering.
- Coordinate with the planning team for the creation of accurate and detailed work orders for all new and existing orders along with the creation of new technique cards.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other project team members to ensure continuous success in meeting required deadlines and product goals.
- Create and revise internal processing procedures and quality work instructions for performing quality control tests.
- Perform document control of customer’s engineering.
- Other duties as assigned.
