Job Description
Help students reach their potential. Seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work closely with our team of Occupational Therapists.
A Day in the Life:
- Implement therapeutic programs prescribed by the therapist
- Document activities
- Communicate with staff, students, and parents both verbally and in writing
- Maintain confidentiality in order to comply with district, state and federal laws
- Performs other duties as assigned in order to ensure a neat, orderly, and safe environment
Successful Candidates:
- Pass a background check
- Have a current TB test
- Have COTA licensure
- Communicate effectively written and verbally
- Have basic computer and office skills
- Work well with others and can multi-task
- Have experience working with students with special needs (preferred)
- Can physically move about the building.
- Lift and position students (30-80 pounds) if assigned to a classroom with such requirements
- Can make miner decisions with minimal supervision in accordance with established procedures
