Job Description

I. Position Purpose

The QRTP Manager oversees the daily operations and strategic direction of the Qualified Residential Treatment Program at Pathway Family Services. This role ensures a safe, therapeutic, and regulatory-compliant environment for children and families. The Manager provides leadership, supervision, and operational oversight to ensure high-quality care and services are delivered in alignment with agency goals and values.

II. Key Responsibilities
Program Operations & Facility Management

 

    • Oversee daily operations of the QRTP, ensuring a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.

 

    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.

 

    • Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping to address facility needs promptly.

 

  • Implement and monitor safety protocols, including emergency preparedness and drills.

Staff Leadership & Development

 

    • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate non-clinical staff including administrative and support personnel.

 

    • Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing coaching and professional development.

 

  • Ensure adequate staffing and effective scheduling to meet program needs.

Resident Care & Support

 

    • Ensure residents’ daily needs are met, including meals, activities, and operational services.

 

    • Collaborate with clinical staff to align operational support with treatment plans.

 

  • Monitor resident progress and participate in treatment planning adjustments as needed.

Administrative & Financial Oversight

 

    • Monitor program expenditures and manage within budgetary constraints.

 

    • Maintain accurate records including staff schedules, maintenance logs, and inventory.

 

  • Prepare operational performance reports and identify areas for improvement.

Quality Assurance & Improvement

 

    • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and implement improvements to enhance service delivery.

 

  • Solicit feedback from residents and staff to assess and improve operational effectiveness.

Communication & Collaboration

 

    • Facilitate communication between residents, families, and staff regarding operational concerns.

 

  • Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to coordinate services.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

 

    • Directly supervises staff as outlined in the Agency Organizational Chart.

 

  • Responsible for hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions in accordance with agency policies and applicable laws.

IV. Qualifications
Education & Experience

 

    • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral science field.

 

    • Licensure through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board preferred (LMSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.).

 

    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in residential services.

 

  • Must reside within 30 miles of the assigned facility.

    • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards and clinical documentation.

 

    • Proficient in budget management and operational planning.

 

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
