Position Summary:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategy, management, and execution of all marketing initiatives across digital marketing, field marketing, brand and communications, and marketing/sales campaigns. This role entails leading diverse teams, managing resources, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals to drive engagement, brand strength, and revenue growth.
Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
Leadership and Development:
- Lead and inspire marketing teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Recruit and hire team members, set and achieve goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback and corrective action.
- Ensure adherence to operational procedures, policies, and standards, as well as recommending and implementing internal process improvements for efficiency.
- Set regional/individual goals for Marketing teams to align with sales organization objectives and report on performance through PowerBI.
- Refine account-based marketing strategy with sales, including chart of accounts, target customer profiles, tiering, heatmaps, and sales plays. Review ABMx trends to assess effectiveness.
- Evaluate team structure for efficiency and organizational satisfaction, drive engagement and alignment across sales, service, operations, and finance.
- Allocate resources efficiently across teams to ensure optimal productivity and performance.
Digital Marketing:
- Design and implement marketing strategies to raise awareness of HBS and generate leads through HBS.net.
- Oversee the team responsible for managing social media channels, ensuring consistent branding and engagement.
- Supervise the creation and distribution of email newsletters and regular customer communications.
- Manage partner campaigns, digital advertising strategies, and analytics to track performance and ROI.
Field Marketing:
- Lead the team handling in-person events, customer entertainment initiatives, conferences, and trade shows.
- Coordinate webinars and virtual events to engage target audiences effectively.
- Organize all HBS conferences (Innovate, HBS sales conferences, Internal summits, Secure Iowa, ServiceFest, etc.).
Brand and Communications:
- Direct the development and maintenance of the brand language manual to ensure consistent usage and messaging.
- Oversee all aspects of brand experience to attract and retain clients, employees, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Manage the creation of marketing and sales collateral, sell/data sheets, and sales enablement materials.
- Supervise website content, including landing pages, blog articles, videos, and graphics.
- Develop integration plan for acquisitions or growth to new markets, assist with integrations as needed.
- Work with HBS's business units to enhance and develop branding, content and training resource for the sales organization on the HBS Sales Playbook.
Campaigns and Partner Relations:
- Enable sellers to pursue customers and prospects through innovative campaigns promoting products, services, and solutions from HBS and its partners.
- Analyze sales data against marketing budgets and profit margins, leveraging effective campaigns, and create cross-selling plays involving sales, inside sales, and marketing.
- Develop strategies to maximize customer engagement and conversion rates.
- Enhance engagement with key vendors in the channel/region, manage relationships with HBS regional partners and the Partner Relationship
