Job Description
Position Summary:
The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of Air Capital Interiors. This includes ensuring efficient and smooth operations, aligning them with the company's strategic goals, and driving performance improvements across various departments. This role will lead and manage teams in areas such as manufacturing Production Control, Cabinetry, Finish, and Upholstery), supply chain, and program management, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including FAA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing Daily Operations: Ensure the efficient and smooth running of all operational aspects of the company, or a specific division, according to Teal HQ.
- Strategic Alignment: Align operational activities with the company's overall strategic goals and objectives.
- Performance Management: Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and performance.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead teams across various functional areas, such as manufacturing, supply chain, and program management.
- Budget Management: Oversee and manage operational budgets and expenses.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to operations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including FAA regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement strategies for continuous improvement in operational processes and efficiency. This includes developing and implementing process improvements that improve safety, improve quality, reduce material and labor costs, and reduce cycle time.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
- Operational Oversight of Production: Oversee the disassembly through final assembly of aircraft furniture, ensuring adherence to company procedures, aircraft specifications, and design/engineering drawings.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the preparation of components for finish processes, including sanding/buffing, to enable a high-quality finished product.
- Material Management: Oversee the utilization of material tracking systems to create material demand.
- Equipment Management: Oversee total productive maintenance on shop equipment.
- Safety and Housekeeping: Champion Safety, 5S, and housekeeping requirements, ensuring the protection of aircraft components.
