Job Description

Job Purpose

The General Manager MasterWorks, a division of BG Products, has a responsibility to direct and manage the organization’s business activities and develop and implement effective business operations, monitor and motivate staff, manage operational costs, ensure good customer service, business development, identify business opportunities, and monitor financial activities. The General Manager will also maintain relationships with clients, increase staff productivity, improve service, ensure sustainability/profitability, and meet business objectives. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Leads by example to achieve BG’s vision and Core Values. 

• Adheres to company polices and presents a professional, positive attitude at all times. 

• Design strategy and set goals for growth.

• Oversee daily business operations for MasterWorks to meet customer demand in accordance with company standards, goals and objectives.

• Lead and manage teams including hiring, training and development of staff, setting of KPIs, department & individual goals, performance reviews, coaching & discipline.  

• Establish a teamwork environment, working closely with all departments, internal/external customers, and upper management.

• Determine goods and services to be sold, and set prices and credit terms, based on forecasts of customer demand.

• Develop and implement product marketing strategies, including advertising campaigns and sales promotions.

• Define and implement procedures and performance standards.

• Assess departmental and company performance and devise plans for improvement.

• Manage profit and loss statements and account for costs and revenues.

• Allocate budget resources for supplies, equipment, marketing, and personnel.

• Accountable for all profit and loss figures

• Focus on building sales and forecasting future performance.

• Maintain top quality assurance and customer service standards.

• Prepare regular reports for upper management.

• Ensure staff follow ISO, Health and Safety regulations.

• Provide solutions to issues (profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business).

• Other duties as needed or assigned.
