Job Description
Summary of Duties: Responsible for taking functional requirements and designing and implementing technical solutions across the enterprise using advanced design patterns and industry best practices in an Agile environment. Solutions will range from custom-built on-prem and cloud applications to building enhancements and integrations to customize third party systems to enable or automate business processes. Collaborate with other IT teams and business stakeholders, serve as a technical expert, and help mentor other team members. Develop and implement back-end and front-end software solutions in on-prem and cloud environments. Design and implement integrations between our core JD Edwards ERP system and the entire suite of enterprise applications that enable our IT and OT processes. Improve legacy processes and systems from file-based solutions to more modern, API based, transactional systems. Implement unit testing as a part of the software development lifecycle and automate unit testing into the CI/CD pipeline. Be familiar with and able to design and query data schemas that reflect the business domain. Mentor other software engineers in the application of the principles and techniques for software development and systems integration. Keep up to date on current technologies, languages, and solutions. Work with cross-functional Agile teams to create business value. Provide tier 3 technical support and training. May work remotely.
Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered, as a Programmer Analyst, Technical Consultant, or related occupation.
Requires six years of experience with full time software development. Requires extensive expertise with JD Edwards 9.2 including FDA (Form Design Aid), ERW (Enterprise Report Writing), TC (Table Conversion), TDA (Table Design Aid), NER (Named Event Rule), and C BSFNs (Business Function Source Files). Requires extensive experience creating reports and documents using Oracle Embedded BI publisher. Requires experience developing automations and integrations with JD Edwards Business Services (BSSV) and Application Interface Services (AIS). Requires experience leading the development tasks needed for JD Edwards upgrade projects. Requires the ability to write complex T-SQL queries and data schemas using SQL Server and Oracle. May work remotely.
