Job Description
Position: Talent Acquisition SpecialistScope of Responsibility:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for coordinating and implementing college recruitment initiatives, managing campus recruiting events, and building relationships with educational institutions. This role involves screening and interviewing candidates, utilizing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track candidates, and supporting social media efforts related to employer branding. This role will also oversee the internship program and assist with the onboarding process for new employees. This role is expected to embody GBA•s core values, aligning efforts with the company vision and advancing initiatives that strengthen the company culture.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- No formal supervisory responsibility.
- May share project tasks with lower-level staff, as directed by leadership.
- Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives, including scheduling campus events, managing logistics, and representing the company at recruitment events to attract candidates for intern and entry-level positions.
- Contribute to the development and execution of strategic recruiting initiatives aimed at attracting diverse talent.
- Conduct initial candidate screenings through in-person and phone interviews to assess qualifications, and schedule interviews with hiring managers, providing candidates with relevant company information and interview expectations.
- Utilizes the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to monitor intern & entry candidate submissions, ensuring job descriptions are up-to-date, while maintaining accurate records.
- Leverage social media platforms and industry knowledge to attract talent, promote GBA•s culture and benefits, and generate ideas for recruiting collateral, giveaways, and company presentations.
- Collaborate with the corporate marketing department to support social media efforts related to employer branding, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Assist in the creation and revision of job descriptions as needed.
- Participate in the new employee orientation and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
- Manage the internship program, including student relations, onboarding, events, and activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, educational institutions, and external partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor•s degree in human resources or a related field AND 2+ years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with virtual meeting platforms.
Technical Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ATS systems, and other related software.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and ability to apply HR policies, practices, and procedures situationally.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- This position requires approximately 20% travel, with heavier travel requirements during the fall and spring recruitment seasons to attend college recruiting events.
- Occasional overnight travel will be required.
