Job Description
ield Engineer • GBA BuildersGBA Builders, LLC currently offers construction management services to clients in the Life Sciences Industry. We work closely with our parent company, GBA, Inc. in a design-build relationship to add value to our clients.
We are looking for a candidate to assist with design-build projects. A successful candidate will be a team player who is self-motivated and willing to jump in and assist where needed, adding value by offering thoughtful solutions and project efficiencies.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Be a team player on design-build projects • work with architects, engineers, owners, subs, etc.
- Estimating assistance • quantity takeoff, perform subcontractor pricing reviews / verifications.
- Assist project superintendent with day to day activities such as drawing coordination, safety reports, daily logs and reports, progress photos, quality assurance and site communication and coordination.
- Assist with coordination of subcontractors on site
- Quality control assistance
- Assist with schedule evaluations and updates
- Assist with site logistics planning and coordination
- Interact with clients and design team as needed to resolve issues and expedite the work
- Assist with project bidding and buyout
- Assist with project budget management
- Safety assistance while on job sites
- Degree in construction management / construction science.
- Hands on construction experience / internships is preferred
- Partnership approach to working with architects and engineers
- MS Office Suite knowledge and excellent computer skills
- Proficient in MS Project
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player
- Self-motivation and time management skills
- Some travel may be required
