Job Responsibilities
- Assists the Physical Therapist in the treatment and evaluation of residents
- Briefs resident on procedures involved in physical therapy and prepares necessary equipment
- Assists in transporting residents to and from therapy
- Performs physical therapy in the resident’s room as necessary and encourages residents to perform and/or participate in ADL functions.
- Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment
- Always exercise courtesy whenever residents, family members and visitors are present
- Demonstrates pride in Valley View by keeping areas clean and safe
- Demonstrates ongoing responsibility and commitment through good attendance and by being on time to work
- Respects the privacy and dignity of residents
