Job Description

Proactively keeps track of Regrind materials by Grinding parts. Responsible for ensuring accurate inventory counts for Scrap and Regrind materials. When assisting as a Material Handler proactively keep all Injection Molding machines and Secondary processes supplied with necessary materials and components along with removing product as needed.  Responsible for ensuring accurate inventory counts for materials being moved.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensure Grinders are properly cleaned, and the scrap material is not contaminated. when changing material types
• Helps assist in blending materials as needed.
• Ensure ALL material movements are properly entered/transferred in IQMS immediately, from the existing location to the new location.
• Completes ALL paperwork timely.
• Responsible for printing labels for Grinded product ensuring accurate part numbers and box quantities.
• Organize Skids, Boxes and empty Gaylords, as skids and Gaylords are emptied.
• When production runs are completed, ensure all Scrap materials are removed and transferred to the warehouse and properly scanned in IQMS.
  • Ensure all previous materials are removed prior to bringing in the next production run materials to avoid mix-ups.
• Notify management of inventory discrepancies and troubleshoot to help resolve.
• Maintain an organized & clean Grinding room & warehouse area, ensuring a safe work environment.
• Reports all safety, quality & equipment issues to supervision in a timely manner.
• Follows all procedures, rules, and works in a safe manner.
• Backup to Material Handlers
• Helps relieve operators for breaks as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

• Notify management of inventory discrepancies and troubleshoot to help resolve.
• Notify management when inventories are low as compared to past quantities.
• As product is completed ensure it is scanned to the machine or secondary location throughout the shift and especially by the end of the shift
• As skids are completed and at the end of a run, ensure product is physically transferred to the warehouse and properly scanned in IQMS.
• When production runs are completed, ensure all raw materials are removed and transferred to the warehouse and properly scanned in IQMS.
  • Ensure all previous materials are removed prior to bringing in the next production run materials to avoid mix-ups.
