Job Summary:
NetApp, a multi-billion dollar technology leader and highly sought-after employer, is adding a Senior Counsel to join its award-winning legal department. The successful candidate will support the company’s product legal functions. S/he will be responsible for providing legal support to NetApp’s on-premise, enterprise, software platforms, and hybrid cloud data management systems. This attorney will work closely with the Company’s technical and business organizations to support their products and services. This position is based in the Company’s San Jose, CA or RTP, NC. Other locations with a NetApp office will also be considered.
We are looking for a highly motivated, tech-savvy, attorney with at least 8 years of experience in hardware, software, on-premise, and hybrid cloud high-tech industries.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of NetApp’s wide range of data management solutions to provide strategic as well as pragmatic legal solutions to the business
- Strategic business advisor to NetApp’s data storage and management products and services
- Provide expertise in IP transactions and protection, inbound and outbound agreements, go-to-market, privacy, security, export compliance, open source, AI, GenAI, licensing, compliance, finance and security
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Finance, and other teams in building and bringing products and services to market
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
