We are looking for a logistics Specialist to join our Wilmington team.
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the full coordination of US shipments moving via all modes of transport(Land, Air, Ocean, etc.) and work directly with N&B IFF Third Party Logistics Providers, Freight Forwarders and Import Brokers to ensure all orders are moved in an accurately, timely and cost-efficient manner.
Must meet IFF compliance guidelines, US Export/Import regulations, customer and stock demand requirements. This position may also support logistics projects with a focus on process improvements..
Responsibilities/Description:
* Liaise between Procurement and logistics to make sure we have competitive rates and defined service levels available for all our needed shipping modes and destinations.
* Coordinate with Procurement and vendors to optimize transport.
* Collaborate with all traffic people at the assigned shipping points in the region.
* Maintain transportation rates and fuel surcharge within SAP system.
* Maintain routes and route determinations in SAP.
* Auditing import process at RDC (Regional Distribution Center).
* Review/audit RDC invoices.
* Mitigate on freight forwarder and warehousing invoices with accounts payable
and trax.
* Interface with all functional groups of Global Supply Chain Planning, Customer Relations, Transportation, Warehousing, and Sales.
* Participate on the logistics regional team, where needed.
* Assist with analysis and provide trend indications and recommendations of monthly performance reports: on time delivery, perfect order, inventory accuracy and orders shipped complete.
* Provide support as required for Logistics and other functions.
* Support maintenance of functional and related work instructions and procedures.
* Assist in maintaining Global Warehouse Manuals and support ISO Certification.
* Backup to functional groups as required.
* Accountable for the inbound and outbound performance of the 3PL's and has the oversight of the open order management process.
* Manage inventory which includes ensuring internal SAP and 3PL warehouse WMS match and are reconciled by performing cycle counts and physical inventories.
* Responsible for investigation and timely resolution of complaints.
* Orchestrate monthly KPI process with the 3PL warehouse and internal logistics team.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or International Trade
* +1 years' experience in Logistics related work emphasis on Transportation, warehousing, inventory management systems, dangerous goods handling
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools and automated systems
* Fluent business English communication skill
* Fluent local language communication skills
* Travel 20%
Training / Certifications:
* SAP basic training on functional areas of expertise
* ERP systems training
