How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As Team Leader, Aftermarket Inside Sales, you will coordinate and manage the aftermarket parts team's quote development process, rep engagement, and workload distribution. The incumbent will oversee customer service for incoming orders, ensuring proper setup in SAP, and implement proactive selling techniques. The role collaborates with SPX leaders, functional groups, and vendors to determine product costs, lead times, and quote list pricing based on markup guidelines. It contributes to meeting sales goals by leveraging expertise in FAP and FEP towers and components, providing training, and managing sales numbers for specific products. Strong communication, customer service, and leadership skills are essential, with the ability to work independently and delegate tasks effectively.
This role encourages innovation and continuously improves efficiency of technical support, monitors advances of technology and competition, and supports global and acquisition-related technical issues in areas of expertise.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
1.Team Leadership and Customer Engagement
*Set performance standards, track team progress, and ensure responsiveness to sales team and customer needs.
*Proactively engage customers to identify and up-sell aftermarket parts, develop selling techniques, and train the team.
*Manage sales rep issues and quoting practices to maintain strong customer and internal relationships.
2.Operational Management and Process Improvement
*Oversee RFQ/quoting processes, monitor workload, and ensure timely customer support.
*Develop and maintain technical and operational tools, enhance aftermarket pricing catalogues, and assist with engineering scope and pricing confirmation.
*Recommend and implement ERP system enhancements in collaboration with IT.
3.Product Expertise and Team Training
*Serve as Product Champion for HVAC and Industrial cooling towers, providing expertise, training, and support to the team and representatives.
*Coordinate and deliver training programs for new ISR team members to ensure operational readiness and product knowledge.

Required Experience & Skills
*7+ years of relevant experience
*Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
*Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and effectively implement changes
*Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-function teams at all levels (production to management) and present data and recommendations verbally and in written form to management
*Familiarity with HVAC or cooling towers
*Familiarity and history with engineering documents
Ideal Experience & Skills
*1-3 years of working in HVAC/Refrigeration industry
*Sales channel management experience preferred
*Expert knowledge of FAP and FEP colling towers and components
*Advanced knowledge of all relevant ERP type systems
*Mechanically inclined and able to read engineering drawings
*Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities of varying complexity
Education & Certifications
*Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field, preferred, or equivalent work experience required
Travel & Working Environment
*Onsite office environment, Monday - Friday; Hybrid work schedule available after satisfactory completion of probationary period
*Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
*The position may require working occasionally outside normal work hours.
