Group Leader
Immediate opportunities are available for experienced and motivated Group Leaders who are eager to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Group Leader at Johnson Controls, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality products. You will lead and support a team, allocate tasks, and collaborate with supervisors to achieve key performance goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity. What You Will Do:

Work with the Supervisor to understand daily production requirements and manage the workflow within your assigned area(s).

Allocate and manage work for your team to ensure tasks are completed as per expectations. Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate the day's goals and objectives, including Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.

Lead daily Zero Harm coaching sessions to reinforce safety standards, recognize best practices, and highlight any safety issues or improvements.

Document actual vs. target goals for each hour of production on the Hr. by Hr. chart and identify reasons for production gaps. Ensure this data is properly documented and shared with the Supervisor for follow-up and corrective action.

Oversee the training of new hires and transfers to ensure compliance with safety requirements and quality standards.

Coordinate with the team to conduct daily Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) audits and report any maintenance needs to the Supervisor.

Communicate effectively with the Supervisor regarding any concerns related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Equipment, and Material availability.

Help maintain the organization’s focus on Lean principles, 5S, visual factory management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Identify waste and variation that could result in unsafe conditions, product defects, or missed Takt Time. Utilize problem-solving methodologies, including A3, to address these issues.
