Job Description

The Supply Chain Manager serves a critical role in the planning, management and execution of the inventory and parts required to support our repair station technicians and meet all work order requirements. This includes management of all stock rooms and purchasing activity, including inventory, supplies and services, as needed.

The candidate must have outstanding analytical skills, be a creative problem solver and possess strong managerial skills.

Responsibilities:

· Provide oversight and leadership for supply chain team

· Budgetary responsibility with accountability to the VP/GM and Controller.

· Monitor sales, inventory levels and evaluate lead times of stock parts, exchange cores and proprietary PMA materials.

· Provide analysis of inventory levels and aging

· Manage the replenishment of inventory, services, and supplies as required. Including providing insight into inventory consumption trends.

· Work closely with Business Development and Operations to monitor future inventory requirements.

· Negotiate with suppliers for parts, supplies, and services at best value.

· Approve and facilitate purchase orders and purchase requisitions, within guidelines.

· Works closely with Shipping/Receiving and Shop departments to ensure timely receipt of goods inbound, stocking of goods received, cross docking of parts/services bought to order, and issuance of inventory.

· Management of slow moving and inactive inventory to achieve optimum inventory investment balance.

· Organize and facilitate annual physical count and daily cycle counts.

· Establish purchasing policies and ensure compliance.

· Work with Buyer to help locate, establish and develop new supply sources to achieve best value pricing and new article supply chains.

· Work with Quality department regarding scrap and vendor non-conformances and Supplier Corrective actions.

· Establish accounts and credit terms with vendors and supplies.

· Develop, produce and deliver; KPI’s and status reports.

· Participate in WIP audit.

· Provide vendor metrics working with buyers and Quality Department to measure delivery time and part acceptance.

· Work with bank auditor to perform sample counts.

· Other duties and tasks as requested or assigned.
