Job Description

The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Athletic Trainer shall be, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Essential Functions –

 

  • Recruit student athletic trainers.
  • Oversee and manage the athletic training room.
  • Monitor and oversee the student athletic trainers.
  • Assist in arranging the schedule of all student athletic trainers.
  • Supervise student athletes in athletic training room.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of the athletic training room.
  • Manage the athletic training equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of all athletic training room activity.
  • Provide for all rehabilitation of student athletes.
  • Ensure all medical records are on file.
  • Maintain current certification of athletic trainer.
  • Assist in hosting all visiting trainers and their needs.
  • Serve actively on campus committees.
  • Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
  • Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.

Secondary –

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics
