Job Description
About the Position:
PK Companies is seeking a Field Superintendent to oversee field projects based out of our Augusta, KS location. This role requires extensive travel (approximately 50%) throughout the Midwest, supporting and managing multiple crews across various job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background, with experience in blasting and coatings. Knowledge of scaffold and insulation is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage field crews, ensuring project efficiency and quality.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring work is completed on schedule.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Maintain detailed daily logs for job site operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, subcontractors, and inspectors.
- Prevent scope creep and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Report project status and updates to management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Construction experience with a focus on blasting and coatings preferred.
- Basic understanding of scaffold and insulation is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with scheduling, resource allocation, and project execution.
- Knowledge of construction equipment, safety regulations, and operating procedures.
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the Midwest.
