Job SummaryThe Area Sales Manager leads the execution of sales initiatives in a designated territory and provides leadership to the Sales team.
Job Responsibilities- Provide leadership and coaching while ensuring a culture of learning and development exists throughout the selling organization. Select, train, and mentor DSMs to ensure a high-performing sales team. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Responsible for the execution of all sales priorities and initiatives in all local, regional, and national assigned accounts. Accountable for selling in and adherence to calendar marketing agreements and provides feedback to the Customer team. Executes and fulfills all channel, package and pricing plans provided by the Customer team.
- Understands the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement and manages within the department budget.
- Regularly interacts with store level and local chain leaders. Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns and resolving issues promptly. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers to secure repeat business. Steward business results in business reviews.
- Collaborates with internal teams to execute the sales and/or delivery route planning and forecasting assignments. Partner with merchandising to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.
