Job Description

We are seeking an energetic, skilled​ Production Associate for openings in our facility in Ark City, KS. 

 

We operate 24 / 7, 7 days per week.   Shift is 2nd Shift- 2:00p- 10:00p, this opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime.

 

COMPENSATION

The expected compensation range for this position is: $15.00-$16.00 + .25 shift differential when worked.

Job Summary:

Production associates are responsible for the product coming off the line from the time it is filled until it has been boxed and stacked onto pallets, ready to go to the warehouse for storage.

Responsibilities

Primary Objectives:

  • Coordinate GSF Quality activities and operations to meet objectives for quality, food safety, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at KanPak.
  • Participate in formulating and administering division’s short and long range goals and objectives for business growth.
  • Load bundles of boxes into machines
  • Operate labeler and ink-jet printer
  • Operate box erector and case packer
  • Load pallets onto conveyors
  • Stack cases on pallets
  • Use wrenches and pallet jacks
  • Manually clean equipment
  • Contribute to our excellence with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Ensure full compliance with all quality assurance standards, especially good housekeeping and overall cleanliness of products and work areas
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Employment Requirements:

 

High School Graduate / GED required

2 – 3 years’ experience or equivalent employment preferred

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.  The employee is frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally carry for up to 100 feet. The employee is occasionally required to climb up and down stairs/steps. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
