Job Description
Material Handler
Adecco is filling Material Handler positions in Salina, KS. These positions have the ability to go permanent after 4 months if you have great attendance and are performing the job to the client’s expectations.
Work Hours:
Weekend shift - Thursday thru Saturday 8:00am to 8:30pm
First day of Orientation is on a Tuesday from 8:00am to 10:30am.
Please note: Overtime is required including weekends and holidays with little notice.
The Material Handler position has the overall responsibility for receiving and moving materials within warehouse. This position will also verify the inventory quantity and assist in inventory level maintenance, maintain complete and accurate paperwork, and operate warehouse equipment in a safe manner.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Marks pallets with identifying store information
· Uses forklift as needed once training and certification are completed
· Pick and stage parts for store replenishment
· Uses a hand-held RF Scanner
· Having prior warehouse training or experience is preferred but not required
· Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals
· Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Previous warehouse experience preferred
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
· Reaching, kneeling, bending, twisting and crouching
· Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or
move up to 50. Items heavier than 50lbs will be moved with assistance
of a forklift
