Job Description
As Operations Manager, will be responsible for managing the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of the company. The specific job duties include: direct and coordinate daily business activities related to sales and installations; interview, hire and train new employees; manage staff, prepare work schedules and assign specific duties; prepare employment contracts and collect paperwork; prepare Bi-weekly payroll and review monthly sales performances to identify if targets are met; identify, screen and hire 1099 subcontractors, prepare contracts and collect W-9 information and insurance; oversee bookkeeping, manage accounts receivable and payable; review financial statement, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement; manage company borrowings, review and approve purchases; identify, develop and maintain business relationships with builders, large contractors and retailers and negotiate terms and contracts with them; locate, select and purchase inventory and sets prices for resale; direct showroom and warehouse inventory layout and labeling; oversea stone fabrication and installation department including efficient production, quality control, safe workplace, equipment service and tools/parts purchases; oversee compliance to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and train staff on compliance protocols (including Government, state and city regulations); closely work with business partners to follow changes related to stone supply, quartz manufacturers and natural stone quarries, freight, and regulations affecting stone supply and pricing; attend stone conferences to follow industry trends and meet new partners; visit with new partners, view stone colors and make sure quality meets company standards; follow trends to timely identify new market changes including stone demand, competitors, new large projects etc.; follow trends in marketing channels to effectively reach new clients; lead monthly team meetings to go over goals and motivate team to accomplish objectives; approve and supervise company advertising; and be responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
